This timber is ideal for internal joinery: internal doors, frames and furniture. Lighter than all other oaks, a very decorative grain with fewer knots. The sapwood of American white oak is light coloured and the heartwood is light to dark brown. White oak is mostly straight grained with a medium to coarse texture, with longer rays than red oak. White oak therefore has more figure.
A very versatile timber used for both internal and external products. Slightly darker than American white oak with more unique characteristics.
Ash is a very decorative timber, similar to American oak but whiter in colour. This timber is only used for internal products.
African Idigbo timber is a durable timber for external fittings. We highly recommend this wood for external doors and door frames because of it's high durability. The light colour allows you to have a greater colour range as it can easily be stained in any colour.
This timber is an ideal and cost effective choice of timber for external use. Medium to dark reddish brown or purplish brown. Color tends to darken with age. Besides the common ribbon pattern seen on quartersawn boards, Sapele is also known for a wide variety of other figured grain patterns, such as: pomelle, quilted, mottled, wavy, beeswing, and fiddleback.
Similar to mahogany, this timber is red in colour and suitable for all external joinery.
Preserved in it's own natural oils, Iroko timber is ideal for garden furniture, decking and othe rexternal joinery products. Heartwood is usually a yellow to golden or medium brown, with color tending to darken over time.
